spring cleaning bathrooms is a chore!

Bathrooms and kitchens are two of the least popular rooms to clean but that doesn’t mean you should leave them off your spring cleaning list.   If you absolutely can’t stand the thought of cleaning your bathroom,  Royal Maid Service will be happy to help.  We’ve been keeping Dunedin, Clearwater, Oldsmar, Palm Harbor, and Safety Harbor clean for twenty years.  Here are some of our bathroom spring cleaning tips:

Start at the top and work down – knock down those cobwebs in the corners and dust the edges of the ceiling and wall. Wipe down the bathroom shower door or curtain.  Dust the vanity lights and bulbs.

Clean and organize the vanity – Throw away any half empty bottles and other things that do not belong in the bathroom.  Wipe down the counter.  Next, take everything out of the drawers and medicine cabinet.  Wipe the drawers and shelves in the medicine cabinet.   Put everything back.  Use drawer organizers if needed.

Clean the toilet – The next step in spring cleaning your bathroom is the dreaded cleaning the toilet. Squirt some bowl cleaner under the rim of the toilet.  If you have especially tough stains, pour a can of cola into the bowl, let it sit for 30 minutes, and scrub with a toilet brush.   Spray the outside and base of the toilet with a cleaner and wipe it down with a soft cloth.

Clean the shower/tub, sink and counter – Starting with the shower,  spray down the door with cleaner and let it sit for 5 minutes.  Scrub it off with a sponge and rinse with warm water.  Wash your counters and sink with hot soapy water.  Spray the mirror with cleaner and wipe it with a squeegee.

Last the floors – the last step in spring cleaning your bathroom is cleaning the floors. Vacuum to get up any dust, dirt, and debris. Next,  mop with warm soap water.   If you can scrub on your hands and knees,  the extra pressure/contact will get the floor cleaner.  If  not,  stand on cloths and push them around the floor with your feet.  Let dry and enjoy your spring clean bathroom!

Whether you tackle all your spring cleaning in one ambitious day,  or go room by room,  Royal Maid Service is here to help.  We love helping people in  Dunedin, Clearwater, Oldsmar, Palm Harbor, and Safety Harbor meet their spring cleaning needs.   Visit the website or give us a call today.  We hope to talk to you soon!

I usually try and do my spring cleaning by myself over the course of a few weeks. The bathroom has always been one of my least favorite places to clean. I’m thinking about just hiring out some professionals to tackle it for me this year.
