Relocation Services

Our cleaning service uses marked carsThe Royal Maid Service provides maid and cleaning services. That is our core mission. However, we also work with customers that want a service that does not fit in with our standard cleaning services. One of the additional types of service that we provide is relocation services. This is not a typical relocation service. Many relocation services are moving companies that will move you to the new location but do not do anything to get you settled in and comfortable in your new home. That is where our relocation service comes in.

The Royal Maids can help you relocate in a safe and comfortable way. Our relocation services are best described by a recent job that fits the bill. But, as you read, keep in mind that we tailor our relocation services on an individual basis, so many things are possible.

Relocating From England

Recently we received a phone call from an English lady (Eileen) in the UK. She had found us on the web and asked if we could help her take care of some necessary chores and get her settled into her new home in Palm Harbor, Florida.

Eileen was moving from the UK to Palm Harbor. She made arrangements to rent a condo with some furniture so she would have some furniture while waiting for her furniture to arrive from the UK, which usually takes 10-12 weeks to arrive.

She called us to enquire if we could help her about 2 weeks before she moved, during that 2 weeks we talked several times over the phone and exchanged emails to make sure everything was going to plan.

Shopping For Clients

We shop for you when you are unableThanks to the Internet, Eileen was able to purchase most of what she needed from Walmart.com. She spent about 5 hours shopping online and made 6 separate orders. When you do this with a big retailer like Walmart that has physical stores around the country, you can request the items to be picked up at a specified store. This is great for travelling and moving.

She sent me the orders plus a list of things she needed but could not order on line. In addition, she sent me an extensive grocery shopping list.

The weekend she came, I went to Walmart and picked up all the things she had ordered, and purchased extra towels, sheets, etc., all those things she could not order. I delivered them to the condo, unpacked everything from the boxes and washed all the crockery, silverware, pans and put them all in place in the kitchen. I then washed all her new sheets, blankets, towels. We put the chairs and tables we had purchased  together in the condo. Basically, we completely prepared the condo for her arrival.

Old Fashioned Customer Service

I also worked with the leasing manager as the place had not been cleaned well and had them redo certain areas. This was not expected, but I felt this was one way I could show the type of quality service that we provided to our customers. For things like this clients do not need to ask, they are just done.

Airport Pick-up

We can go grocery shopping for youEileen arrived on the following Thursday. She was arriving in Orlando with her daughter and her dog. Tony went over to Orlando to pick them up.
While he Tony picked her up in Orlando, I did the grocery shopping so she had full cupboards and fresh food for when she arrived. I also made the bed, put fresh towels in the bathroom and finished setting up the condo for her arrival that evening.

The following day I went to see her the next day to make sure everything was okay. She was extremely satisfied with the work that we had done. I even ended up taking her to the doctors.
